Hurricane Alley Helps Children in Poverty

Red Nose Day takes place on Thursday, May 26th. “Through the power of entertainment, we raise awareness and money to help kids who need us most at home and around the world,” says the Comic Relief Charity’s mission statement. Red Nose Day started in the United Kingdom in 1985 with the Comic Relief Charity founded by comedy scriptwriter Richard Curtis in response to famine in Ethiopia. In the U.S.A, Red Nose Day is an annual telethon bringing together comedians, musicians, T.V. and film actors to raise money for various charities to help children globally. 50% of all funds raised are contributed to the U.S., while the rest is sent to the poorest communities in Latin America, Asia, and Africa. All of the monies raised support projects that ensure kids are safe, healthy and educated.

Hurricane Alley (located at 529 East Ocean Avenue) is supporting Red Nose Day on May 26th by offering a free appetizer to all patrons (limit 1 per party) who come in wearing a  red nose, which can be purchased at any participating Walgreens. All of the Hurricane Alley staff will wear red noses on this day to show their support for this charity event.  Hurricane Alley features a delicious array of appetizers including Oyster Rockefeller, Clams Casino, Escargot, Homemade Smoked Fish Dip, Wings, Conch Fritters and much more!

Hurricane Alley has been an establishment of Boynton Beach for 20 years, and is always involved and helps to promote community events. Their food truck frequents all local events and serves up a delicious array of seafood and American fare. In July they are celebrating their 20th anniversary here in Boynton Beach.

Stop by and celebrate Red Nose Day or any special occasion with a bite of fresh fish, a juicy burger or a drink from their full bar. Hurricane Alley is open from 11 AM- 11 PM daily and until midnight on Friday and Saturday. For more information visit their website here.
